The Noble Quran

By the manifest Book (i.e. this Qur’ân that makes things clear).

کہ ہم نے اس کو قرآن عربی بنایا ہے تاکہ تم سمجھو

The Noble Quran

Verily, We have made it a Qur’ân in Arabic that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions).

اور یہ بڑی کتاب (یعنی لوح محفوظ) میں ہمارے پاس (لکھی ہوئی اور) بڑی فضیلت اور حکمت والی ہے

The Noble Quran

And verily, it (this Qur’ân) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz), with Us, indeed exalted, full of wisdom.

بھلا اس لئے کہ تم حد سے نکلے ہوئے لوگ ہو ہم تم کو نصیحت کرنے سے باز رہیں گے

The Noble Quran

Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Qur’ân) from you, because you are a people Musrifûn.<sup foot_note=154890>1</sup>

اور ہم نے پہلے لوگوں میں بھی بہت سے پیغمبر بھیجے تھے

The Noble Quran

And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old.

اور کوئی پیغمبر ان کے پاس نہیں آتا تھا مگر وہ اس سے تمسخر کرتے تھے

And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him.

تو جو ان میں سخت زور والے تھے ان کو ہم نے ہلاک کردیا اور اگلے لوگوں کی حالت گزر گئی

The Noble Quran

Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these - and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them).

اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو کہہ دیں گے کہ ان کو غالب اور علم والے (خدا) نے پیدا کیا ہے

The Noble Quran

And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them."

جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو بچھونا بنایا۔ اور اس میں تمہارے لئے رستے بنائے تاکہ تم راہ معلوم کرو

The Noble Quran

Who has made for you the earth like a bed, and has made for you roads therein, in order that you may find your way.

اور جس نے ایک اندازے کے ساتھ آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا۔ پھر ہم نے اس سے شہر مردہ کو زندہ کیا۔ اسی طرح تم زمین سے نکالے جاؤ گے

The Noble Quran

And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure, then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the graves).

اور جس نے تمام قسم کے حیوانات پیدا کئے اور تمہارے لئے کشتیاں اور چارپائے بنائے جن پر تم سوار ہوتے ہو

The Noble Quran

And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride:

تاکہ تم ان کی پیٹھ پر چڑھ بیٹھو اور جب اس پر بیٹھ جاؤ پھر اپنے پروردگار کے احسان کو یاد کرو اور کہو کہ وہ (ذات) پاک ہے جس نے اس کو ہمارے زیر فرمان کر دیا اور ہم میں طاقت نہ تھی کہ اس کو بس میں کرلیتے

The Noble Quran

In order that you may mount on their backs, and then may remember the Favour of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: "Glory to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts).

اور ہم اپنے پروردگار کی طرف لوٹ کر جانے والے ہیں

The Noble Quran

And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!"

اور انہوں نے اس کے بندوں میں سے اس کے لئے اولاد مقرر کی۔ بےشک انسان صریح ناشکرا ہے

The Noble Quran

Yet, they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate!

کیا اس نے اپنی مخلوقات میں سے خود تو بیٹیاں لیں اور تم کو چن کر بیٹے دیئے

The Noble Quran

Or has He taken daughters out of what He has created, and He has selected for you sons?

حالانکہ جب ان میں سے کسی کو اس چیز کی خوشخبری دی جاتی ہے جو انہوں نے خدا کے لئے بیان کی ہے تو اس کا منہ سیاہ ہوجاتا اور وہ غم سے بھر جاتا ہے

The Noble Quran

And if one of them is informed of the news of (the birth of a girl) that which he sets forth as a parable to the Most Gracious (Allâh), his face becomes dark, and he is filled with grief!

کیا وہ جو زیور میں پرورش پائے اور جھگڑے کے وقت بات نہ کرسکے (خدا کی) بیٹی ہوسکتی ہے؟

The Noble Quran

(Like they then for Allâh) a creature who is brought up in adornments (wearing silk and gold ornaments, i.e. women), and who in dispute cannot make herself clear?

اور انہوں نے فرشتوں کو کہ وہ بھی خدا کے بندے ہیں (خدا کی) بیٹیاں مقرر کیا۔ کیا یہ ان کی پیدائش کے وقت حاضر تھے عنقریب ان کی شہادت لکھ لی جائے گی اور ان سے بازپرس کی جائے گی

The Noble Quran

And they make the angels who themselves are slaves of the Most Gracious (Allâh) females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned!

اور کہتے ہیں اگر خدا چاہتا تو ہم ان کو نہ پوجتے۔ ان کو اس کا کچھ علم نہیں۔ یہ تو صرف اٹکلیں دوڑا رہے ہیں

The Noble Quran

And they said: "If it had been the Will of the Most Gracious (Allâh), we should not have worshipped them (false deities)." They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do nothing but lie!

یا ہم نے ان کو اس سے پہلے کوئی کتاب دی تھی تو یہ اس سے سند پکڑتے ہیں

The Noble Quran

Or have We given them any Book before this (the Qur’ân) to which they are holding fast?

بلکہ کہنے لگے کہ ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک رستے پر پایا ہے اور ہم انہی کے قدم بقدم چل رہے ہیں

The Noble Quran

Nay! They say: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps."

اور اسی طرح ہم نے تم سے پہلے کسی بستی میں کوئی ہدایت کرنے والا نہیں بھیجا مگر وہاں کے خوشحال لوگوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک راہ پر پایا اور ہم قدم بقدم ان ہی کے پیچھے چلتے ہیں

The Noble Quran

And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps."

پیغمبر نے کہا اگرچہ میں تمہارے پاس ایسا (دین) لاؤں کہ جس رستے پر تم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا وہ اس سے کہیں سیدھا رستہ دکھاتا ہے کہنے لگے کہ جو (دین) تم دے کر بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کو نہیں مانتے

The Noble Quran

(The warner) said: "Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?" They said: "Verily, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."

تو ہم نے ان سے انتقام لیا سو دیکھ لو کہ جھٹلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا

The Noble Quran

So We took revenge on them, then see what was the end of those who denied (Islâmic Monotheism).

اور جب ابراہیم نے اپنے باپ اور اپنی قوم کے لوگوں سے کہا کہ جن چیزوں کو تم پوجتے ہو میں ان سے بیزار ہوں

The Noble Quran

And (remember) when Ibrâhîm (Abraham) said to his father and his people: "Verily, I am innocent of what you worship,

ہاں جس نے مجھ کو پیدا کیا وہی مجھے سیدھا رستہ دکھائے گا

The Noble Quran

"Except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allâh Alone) Who did create me; and verily He will guide me."

اور یہی بات اپنی اولاد میں پیچھے چھوڑ گئے تاکہ وہ (خدا کی طرف) رجوع کریں

The Noble Quran

And he made it [i.e. Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring, (True Monotheism), that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allâh or receive admonition).

بات یہ ہے کہ میں ان کفار کو اور ان کے باپ دادا کو متمتع کرتا رہا یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس حق اور صاف صاف بیان کرنے والا پیغمبر آ پہنچا

The Noble Quran

Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Qur’ân), and a Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) making things clear.

اور جب ان کے پاس حق (یعنی قرآن) آیا تو کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو جادو ہے اور ہم اس کو نہیں مانتے

The Noble Quran

And when the truth (this Qur’ân) came to them, they (the disbelievers in this Qur’ân) said: "This is magic, and we disbelieve therein."

اور (یہ بھی) کہنے لگے کہ یہ قرآن ان دونوں بستیوں (یعنی مکّے اور طائف) میں سے کسی بڑے آدمی پر کیوں نازل نہ کیا گیا؟

The Noble Quran

And they say: "Why is not this Qur’ân sent down to some great man of the two towns (Makkah and Tâ’if)?"

کیا یہ لوگ تمہارے پروردگار کی رحمت کو بانٹتے ہیں؟ ہم نے ان میں ان کی معیشت کو دنیا کی زندگی میں تقسیم کردیا اور ایک کے دوسرے پر درجے بلند کئے تاکہ ایک دوسرے سے خدمت لے اور جو کچھ یہ جمع کرتے ہیں تمہارے پروردگار کی رحمت اس سے کہیں بہتر ہے

The Noble Quran

Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass.

اور اگر یہ خیال نہ ہوتا کہ سب لوگ ایک ہی جماعت ہوجائیں گے تو جو لوگ خدا سے انکار کرتے ہیں ہم ان کے گھروں کی چھتیں چاندی کی بنا دیتے اور سیڑھیاں (بھی) جن پر وہ چڑھتے ہیں

The Noble Quran

And were it not that mankind would have become of one community (all disbelievers, desiring worldly life only), We would have provided for those who disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allâh), silver roofs for their houses, and elevators whereby they ascend,

اور ان کے گھروں کے دروازے بھی اور تخت بھی جن پر تکیہ لگاتے ہیں

The Noble Quran

And for their houses, doors (of silver), and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اور (خوب) تجمل وآرائش (کردیتے) اور یہ سب دنیا کی زندگی کا تھوڑا سا سامان ہے۔ اور آخرت تمہارے پروردگار کے ہاں پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ہے

The Noble Quran

And adornments of gold. Yet all this (i.e. the roofs, doors, stairs, elevators, thrones of their houses) would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world. And the Hereafter with your Lord is (only) for the Muttaqûn.<sup foot_note=154891>1</sup>

اور جو کوئی خدا کی یاد سے آنکھیں بند کرکے (یعنی تغافل کرے) ہم اس پر ایک شیطان مقرر کردیتے ہیں تو وہ اس کا ساتھی ہوجاتا ہے

The Noble Quran

And whosoever turns away blindly from the remembrance of the Most Gracious (Allâh) (i.e. this Qur’ân and worship of Allâh), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarîn (a companion) to him.

اور یہ (شیطان) ان کو رستے سے روکتے رہتے ہیں اور وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ سیدھے رستے پر ہیں

The Noble Quran

And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allâh), but they think that they are guided aright!

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارے پاس آئے گا تو کہے گا کہ اے کاش مجھ میں اور تجھ میں مشرق ومغرب کا فاصلہ ہوتا تو برا ساتھی ہے

The Noble Quran

Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarîn (Satan / devil companion)] "Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)" - a worst (type of) companion (indeed)!

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اور جب تم ظلم کرتے رہے تو آج تمہیں یہ بات فائدہ نہیں دے سکتی کہ تم (سب) عذاب میں شریک ہو

The Noble Quran

It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allâh’s remembrance and His worship) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarîn ) in the punishment.

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

کیا تم بہرے کو سنا سکتے ہو یا اندھے کو رستہ دکھا سکتے ہو اور جو صریح گمراہی میں ہو (اسے راہ پر لاسکتے ہو)

The Noble Quran

Can you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error?

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اگر ہم تم کو (وفات دے کر) اٹھا لیں تو ان لوگوں سے تو ہم انتقام لے کر رہیں گے

The Noble Quran

And even if We take you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them.

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

یا (تمہاری زندگی ہی میں) تمہیں وہ (عذاب) دکھا دیں گے جن کا ہم نے ان سے وعدہ کیا ہے ہم ان پر قابو رکھتے ہیں

The Noble Quran

Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them: then verily We have perfect command over them.

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

پس تمہاری طرف جو وحی کی گئی ہے اس کو مضبوط پکڑے رہو۔ بےشک تم سیدھے رستے پر ہو

The Noble Quran

So hold you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) fast to that which is revealed to you. Verily you are on the Straight Path.

اور یہ (قرآن) تمہارے لئے اور تمہاری قوم کے لئے نصیحت ہے اور (لوگو) تم سے عنقریب پرسش ہوگی

The Noble Quran

And verily this (the Qur’ân) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it).

اور (اے محمدﷺ) جو اپنے پیغمبر ہم نے تم سے پہلے بھیجے ہیں ان سے دریافت کرلو۔ کیا ہم نے (خدائے) رحمٰن کے سوا اور معبود بنائے تھے کہ ان کی عبادت کی جائے

The Noble Quran

And ask (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint âlihâh (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious (Allâh)?"

اور ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں دے کر فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں کی طرف بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں پروردگار عالم کا بھیجا ہوا ہوں

The Noble Quran

And indeed We did send Mûsâ (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs (inviting them to Allâh’s religion of Islâm) He said: "Verily, I am a Messenger of the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)."

جب وہ ان کے پاس ہماری نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو وہ نشانیوں سے ہنسی کرنے لگے

The Noble Quran

But when he came to them with Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations) behold, they laughed at them.

اور جو نشانی ہم ان کو دکھاتے تھے وہ دوسری سے بڑی ہوتی تھی اور ہم نے ان کو عذاب میں پکڑ لیا تاکہ باز آئیں

The Noble Quran

And not an Ayâh (sign, etc.) We showed them but it was greater than its fellow , and We seized them with torment, in order that they might turn [from their polytheism to Allâh’s religion (Islâmic Monotheism)].

اور کہنے لگے کہ اے جادوگر اس عہد کے مطابق جو تیرے پروردگار نے تجھ سے کر رکھا ہے اس سے دعا کر بےشک ہم ہدایت یاب ہو جائیں گے

The Noble Quran

And they said [to Mûsâ (Moses)]: "O you sorcerer! Invoke your Lord for us according to what He has covenanted with you. Verily, We shall guide ourselves (aright)."

سو جب ہم نے ان سے عذاب کو دور کردیا تو وہ عہد شکنی کرنے لگے

The Noble Quran

But when We removed the torment from them, behold, they broke their covenant (that they will believe if We remove the torment from them).

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اور فرعون نے اپنی قوم سے پکار کر کہا کہ اے قوم کیا مصر کی حکومت میرے ہاتھ میں نہیں ہے۔ اور یہ نہریں جو میرے (محلوں کے) نیچے بہہ رہی ہیں (میری نہیں ہیں) کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں

The Noble Quran

And Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people (saying): "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then?

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

بےشک میں اس شخص سے جو کچھ عزت نہیں رکھتا اور صاف گفتگو بھی نہیں کرسکتا کہیں بہتر ہوں

The Noble Quran

"Am I not better than this one [Mûsâ (Moses)] who is despicable and can scarcely express himself clearly?

تو اس پر سونے کے کنگن کیوں نہ اُتارے گئے یا (یہ ہوتا کہ) فرشتے جمع ہو کر اس کے ساتھ آتے

"Why then are not golden bracelets bestowed on him, or angels sent along with him?"

غرض اس نے اپنی قوم کی عقل مار دی۔ اور انہوں نے اس کی بات مان لی۔ بےشک وہ نافرمان لوگ تھے

The Noble Quran

Thus he [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] befooled (and misled) his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

جب انہوں نے ہم کو خفا کیا تو ہم نے ان سے انتقام لے کر اور ان سب کو ڈبو کر چھوڑا

The Noble Quran

So when they angered Us, We punished them, and drowned them all.

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اور ان کو گئے گزرے کردیا اور پچھلوں کے لئے عبرت بنا دیا

The Noble Quran

And We made them a precedent (as a lesson for those coming after them), and an example to later generations.

Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari

اور جب مریم کے بیٹے (عیسیٰ) کا حال بیان کیا گیا تو تمہاری قوم کے لوگ اس سے چِلا اُٹھے

The Noble Quran

And when the son of Maryam (Mary) is quoted as an example [i.e. ‘Îsâ (Jesus) is worshipped like their idols], behold, your people cry aloud (laugh out at the example).

اور کہنے لگے کہ بھلا ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا عیسیٰ؟ انہوں نے عیسیٰ کی جو مثال بیان کی ہے تو صرف جھگڑنے کو۔ حقیقت یہ ہے یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو

The Noble Quran

And say: "Are our âlihah (gods) better or is he [‘Îsâ (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. (See V. 21:98-101)

وہ تو ہمارے ایسے بندے تھے جن پر ہم نے فضل کیا اور بنی اسرائیل کے لئے ان کو (اپنی قدرت کا) نمونہ بنا دیا

The Noble Quran

He [‘Îsâ (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father).

اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو تم میں سے فرشتے بنا دیتے جو تمہاری جگہ زمین میں رہتے

The Noble Quran

And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. [Tafsir At-Tabarî].

اور وہ قیامت کی نشانی ہیں۔ تو (کہہ دو کہ لوگو) اس میں شک نہ کرو اور میرے پیچھے چلو۔ یہی سیدھا رستہ ہے

The Noble Quran

And he [‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) [i.e. ‘Isâ’s (Jesus) descent on the earth].<sup foot_note=154892>1</sup> Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allâh) (i.e. be obedient to Allâh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islâmic Monotheism, leading to Allâh and to His Paradise).

اور (کہیں) شیطان تم کو (اس سے) روک نہ دے۔ وہ تو تمہارا اعلاینہ دشمن ہے

The Noble Quran

And let not Shaitân (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islâmic Monotheism). Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy.

اور جب عیسیٰ نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو کہنے لگے کہ میں تمہارے پاس دانائی (کی کتاب) لے کر آیا ہوں۔ نیز اس لئے کہ بعض باتیں جن میں تم اختلاف کر رہے ہو تم کو سمجھا دوں۔ تو خدا سے ڈرو اور میرا کہا مانو

The Noble Quran

And when ‘Îsâ (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ. Therefore fear Allâh and obey me.

کچھ شک نہیں کہ خدا ہی میرا اور تمہارا پروردگار ہے پس اسی کی عبادت کرو۔ یہی سیدھا رستہ ہے

The Noble Quran

"Verily, Allâh! He is my Lord (God) and your Lord (God). So worship Him (Alone). This is the (only) Straight Path (i.e. Allâh’s religion of true Islâmic Monotheism)."

پھر کتنے فرقے ان میں سے پھٹ گئے۔ سو جو لوگ ظالم ہیں ان کی درد دینے والے دن کے عذاب سے خرابی ہے

But the sects from among themselves differed. So woe to those who do wrong [by ascribing things to ‘Îsâ (Jesus) that are not true] from the torment of a painful Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!

یہ صرف اس بات کے منتظر ہیں کہ قیامت ان پر ناگہاں آموجود ہو اور ان کو خبر تک نہ ہو

The Noble Quran

Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not?

(جو آپس میں) دوست (ہیں) اس روز ایک دوسرے کے دشمن ہوں گے۔ مگر پرہیزگار (کہ باہم دوست ہی رہیں گے)

Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2).

(It will be said to the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism): My worshippers! No fear shall be on you this Day, nor shall you grieve,

(You) who believed in Our Ayât (proofs, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were Muslims (i.e. who submit totally to Allâh’s Will, and believe in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism).

(ان سے کہا جائے گا) کہ تم اور تمہاری بیویاں عزت (واحترام) کے ساتھ بہشت میں داخل ہوجاؤ

Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness.

ان پر سونے کی پرچوں اور پیالوں کا دور چلے گا۔ اور وہاں جو جی چاہے اور جو آنکھوں کو اچھا لگے (موجود ہوگا) اور (اے اہل جنت) تم اس میں ہمیشہ رہو گے

Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them; (there will be) therein all that inner-selves could desire, and all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein forever.

اور یہ جنت جس کے تم مالک کر دیئے گئے ہو تمہارے اعمال کا صلہ ہے

The Noble Quran

This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of your deeds which you used to do (in the life of the world).

وہاں تمہارے لئے بہت سے میوے ہیں جن کو تم کھاؤ گے

Therein for you will be fruits in plenty, of which you will eat (as you desire).

(اور کفار) گنہگار ہمیشہ دوزخ کے عذاب میں رہیں گے

The Noble Quran

Verily, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers) will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever.

جو ان سے ہلکا نہ کیا جائے گا اور وہ اس میں نامید ہو کر پڑے رہیں گے

The Noble Quran

(The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein.

اور ہم نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا۔ بلکہ وہی (اپنے آپ پر) ظلم کرتے تھے

The Noble Quran

We wronged them not, but they were the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers).

اور پکاریں گے کہ اے مالک تمہارا پروردگار ہمیں موت دے دے۔ وہ کہے گا کہ تم ہمیشہ (اسی حالت میں) رہو گے

The Noble Quran

And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily, you shall abide forever."

ہم تمہارے پاس حق لے کر آئے ہیں لیکن تم اکثر حق سے ناخوش ہوتے رہے

The Noble Quran

Indeed We have brought the truth (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم with the Qur’ân) to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth.<sup foot_note=154893>1</sup>

کیا انہوں نے کوئی بات ٹھہرا رکھی ہے تو ہم بھی کچھ ٹھہرانے والے ہیں

The Noble Quran

Or have they plotted some plan? Then We too are planning.

کیا یہ لوگ یہ خیال کرتے ہیں کہ ہم ان کی پوشیدہ باتوں اور سرگوشیوں کو سنتے نہیں؟ ہاں ہاں (سب سنتے ہیں) اور ہمارے فرشتے ان کے پاس (ان کی سب باتیں) لکھ لیتے ہیں

Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsel? (Yes We do) and Our messengers (appointed angels in charge of mankind) are by them, to record.

کہہ دو کہ اگر خدا کے اولاد ہو تو میں (سب سے) پہلے (اس کی) عبادت کرنے والا ہوں

The Noble Quran

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "If the Most Gracious (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allâh’s worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî].

یہ جو کچھ بیان کرتے ہیں آسمانوں اور زمین کا مالک (اور) عرش کا مالک اس سے پاک ہے

The Noble Quran

Glorified be the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne! Exalted be He from all that they ascribe (to Him).

تو ان کو بک بک کرنے اور کھیلنے دو۔ یہاں تک کہ جس دن کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے اس کو دیکھ لیں

So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs which they have been promised.

اور وہی (ایک) آسمانوں میں معبود ہے اور (وہی) زمین میں معبود ہے۔ اور وہ دانا (اور) علم والا ہے

It is He (Allâh) Who is the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) in the heaven and the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) on the earth. And He be the All-Wise, the All-Knower.

اور وہ بہت بابرکت ہے جس کے لئے آسمانوں اور زمین کی اور جو کچھ ان دونوں میں ہے سب کی بادشاہت ہے۔ اور اسی کو قیامت کا علم ہے اور اسی کی طرف تم لوٹ کر جاؤ گے

And Blessed be He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and with Whom is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Whom you (all) will be returned.

اور جن کو یہ لوگ خدا کے سوا پکارتے ہیں وہ سفارش کا کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتے۔ ہاں جو علم ویقین کے ساتھ حق کی گواہی دیں (وہ سفارش کرسکتے ہیں)

And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession - except for those who bear witness to the truth knowingly (i.e. believed in the Oneness of Allâh, and obeyed His Orders), and they know (the facts about the Oneness of Allâh).<sup foot_note=154894>1</sup>

اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ ان کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو کہہ دیں گے کہ خدا نے۔ تو پھر یہ کہاں بہکے پھرتے ہیں؟

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allâh." How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allâh, Who created them)?

اور (بسااوقات) پیغمبر کہا کرتے ہیں کہ اے پروردگار یہ ایسے لوگ ہیں کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے

The Noble Quran

(And Allâh has the knowledge) of (Prophet Muhammad’s) saying: "O my Lord! Verily, these are a people who believe not!"

تو ان سے منہ پھیر لو اور سلام کہہ دو۔ ان کو عنقریب (انجام) معلوم ہوجائے گا

The Noble Quran

So turn away from them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and say: Salâm (peace)! But they will come to know.<sup foot_note=154895>1</sup>
