Our Commitment

Islamic Nexus is deeply committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of all content creators, scholars, translators, and publishers. We operate this platform as a non-commercial educational service (Sadaqah Jariyah) while maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct regarding copyrighted materials.

All content on Islamic Nexus is used for educational and Da'wah (Islamic outreach) purposes only. We do not generate revenue from this platform, and all resources are provided free of charge to benefit the Muslim Ummah.

Content Ownership

1. Third-Party Content

Islamic Nexus hosts and displays content from various sources including:

  • Quran translations by various translators
  • Hadith collections and translations
  • Islamic books and scholarly works
  • Audio recitations by various reciters
  • Tafsir (Quranic commentary) works

All third-party content is attributed to its original creators. We maintain a comprehensive Sources & Attributions page listing all sources.

2. Our Original Content

Content created by Islamic Nexus (including website design, code, UI/UX, compilations, and organizational structure) is our original work. We make this content available for Islamic educational purposes.

3. Public Domain Content

Some content on our platform is in the public domain, including:

  • Original Arabic text of the Quran (revealed 1400+ years ago)
  • Classical Islamic texts and hadith collections (original Arabic)
  • Certain translations whose copyright has expired
  • Works explicitly released to the public domain

Educational Fair Use

Islamic Nexus operates under the principles of educational fair use:

  • Purpose: Non-commercial, educational, and religious purposes
  • Nature: Published religious and educational works
  • Amount: Reasonable portions used for educational context
  • Effect: No negative market impact (we generate no revenue)

We believe our use of copyrighted materials falls within fair use doctrine, particularly given:

  • The purely educational and religious nature of the platform
  • No commercial activity or revenue generation
