Ayah Study

Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) including all obligations ordered by Islâm] and do righteous good deeds, they are the best of creatures.

Their reward [awaits them] with God: gardens of perpetual bliss, through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time; well-pleased is God with them, and well-pleased are they with Him: all this awaits him who of his Sustainer stands in awe!

(اور) جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے وہ تمام خلقت سے بہتر ہیں

{ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ } لأنهم عبدوا الله وعرفوه، وفازوا بنعيم الدنيا والآخرة.

إن الذين صَدَّقوا الله واتبعوا رسوله وعملوا الصالحات، أولئك هم خير الخلق.

ثم أخبر تعالى عن الأبرار الذين آمنوا بقلوبهم وعملوا الصالحات بأبدانهم بأنهم خير البرية وقد استدل بهذه الآية أبو هريرة وطائفة من العلماء على تفضيل المؤمنين من البرية على الملائكة لقوله "أولئك هم خير البرية".

Mentioning the Worse and Best of Creation and Their Recompense Allah informs of what will happen to the wicked disbelievers among the People of the Scripture and the idolators who oppose the Allah's divinely revealed Books and the Prophets whom He sent. He says that they will be in the fire of Hell on the Day of Judgement and they will abide therein forever. This means that they will remain in it and they will have no way out of it and they will not cease being in it. أَوْلَـئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ (They are the worst of creatures.) meaning, they are the worst creation that Allah has fashioned and created. Then Allah informs about the situation of the righteous people who believed in their hearts and performed righteous deeds with their bodies. He says that they are the best of creation. Abu Hurayrah and a group of the scholars have used this Ayah as a proof that the believers have a status among the creatures that is better than the angels. This is because Allah says, أُوْلَـئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ (They are the best of creatures.) Then Allah says, جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ (Their reward with their Lord) meaning, on the Day of Judgement. جَنَّـتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِى مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الاٌّنْهَـرُ خَـلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَداً (is Eternal Gardens underneath which rivers flow. They will abide therein forever,) meaning, having no end, no break and no conclusion. رِّضِىَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُواْ عَنْهُ (Allah will be pleased with them, and they well-pleased with Him.) The condition of Him being pleased with them is more illustri- ous than all of the everlasting delights that they will be given. وَرَضُواْ عَنْهُ (and they well-pleased with Him.) Due to the comprehensive favors He has given them. Then Allah says, ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُ (That is for him who fears his Lord.) meaning, this is the reward that will be attained by those who revere Allah and fear Him as He deserves to be feared. This is the person who worships Allah as if he sees Him, and he knows that even though he does not see Him, indeed Allah sees him. Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الْبَرِيَّةِ؟» (Shall I not inform you of the best of creation) They said, "Of course, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, «رَجُلٌ آخِذٌ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، كُلَّمَا كَانَتْ هَيْعَةٌ اسْتَوَى عَلَيْهِ. أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الْبَرِيَّة» (A man who takes the reins of his horse in the way of Allah, and whenever there is a fearful cry from the enemy, he climbs upon it. Shall I not inform you of the best of creation) They said, "Of course, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" He said, «رَجُلٌ فِي ثُلَّةٍ مِنْ غَنَمِهِ، يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ. أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ الْبَرِيَّةِ؟» (A man who has a flock of sheep and he establishes the prayer and gives the obligatory charity. Shall I not inform you of the worst of creation) They said, "Of course." He said, «الَّذِي يُسْأَلُ بِاللهِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِه» (The person who is asked by Allah and he does not give by Him.) This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Lam Yakun (Al-Bayyinah), and all praise and thanks are due to Allah.

ساری مخلوق سے بہتر اور بدتر کون ہے ؟ اللہ تعالیٰ کافروں کا انجام بیان فرماتا ہے وہ کافر خواہ یہود و نصاریٰ ہوں یا مشرکین عرب و عجم ہوں جو بھی انبیاء اللہ کے مخالف ہوں اور کتاب اللہ کے جھٹلانے والے ہوں وہ قیامت کے دن جہنم کی آگ میں ڈال دئیے جائیں گے اور اسی میں پڑے رہیں گے نہ وہاں سے نکلیں گے نہ رہا ہوں گے یہ لوگ تمام مخلوق سے بدتر اور کمتر ہیں پھر اپنے نیک بندوں کے انجام کی خبر دیتا ہے جن کے دلوں میں ایمان ہے اور جو اپنے جسموں سے سنت کی بجا آوری میں ہر وقت مصروف رہتے ہیں کہ یہ ساری مخلوق سے بہتر اور بزرگ ہیں اس آیت سے حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ اور علماء کرام کی ایک جماعت نے استدلال کیا ہے کہ ایمان والے انسان فرشتوں سے بھی افضل ہیں پھر ارشاد ہوتا ہے کہ ان کا نیک بدلہ ان کے رب کے پاس ان لازوال جنتوں کی صورت میں ہے جن کے چپے چپے پر پاک صاف پانی کی نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں جن میں دوام اور ہمیشہ کی زندگی کے ساتھ رہیں گے نہ وہاں سے نکالے جائیں نہ وہ نعمتیں ان سے جدا ہوں نہ کم ہوں نہ اور کوئی کھٹکا ہے نہ غم پھر ان سب سے بڑھ چڑھ کر نعمت و رحمت یہ ہے کہ رضائے رب مرضی مولا انہیں حاصل ہوگئی ہے اور انہیں اس قدر نعمتیں جناب باری نے عطا فرمائی ہیں کہ یہ بھی دل سے راضی ہوگئے ہیں پھر ارشاد فرماتا ہے کہ یہ بہترین بدلہ یہ بہت بڑی جزاء یہ اجر عظیم دنیا میں اللہ سے ڈرتے رہنے کا عوض ہے ہر وہ شخص جس کے دل میں ڈر ہو جس کی عبادت میں اخلاص ہو جو جانتا ہو کہ اللہ کی اس پر نظریں ہیں بلکہ عبادت کے وقت اس مشغولی اور دلچسپی سے عبادت کر رہا ہو کہ گویا خود وہ اپنی آنکھوں سے اپنے خالق مالک سچے رب اور حقیقی اللہ کو دیکھ رہا ہے مسند احمد کی حدیث میں ہے رسول اللہ ﷺ فرماتے ہیں میں تمہیں بتاؤں کہ سب سے بہتر شخص کون ہے ؟ لوگوں نے کہا ضرور فرمایا وہ شخص جو اپنے گھوڑے کی لگا تھامے ہوئے ہے کہ کب جہاد کی آواز بلند ہو اور کب میں کود کر اس کی پیٹھ پر سوار ہوجاؤں اور گرجتا ہوا دشمن کی فوج میں گھسوں اور داد شجاعت دوں لو میں تمہیں ایک اور بہترین مخلوق کی خبر دوں وہ شخص جو اپنی بکریوں کے ریوڑ میں ہے نہ نماز کو چھوڑتا ہے نہ زکوٰۃ سے جی چراتا ہے آؤ اب میں بدترین مخلوق بتاؤں وہ شخص کہ اللہ کے نام سے سوال کرے اور پھر نہ دیا جائے سورة لم یکن کی تفسیر ختم ہوئی، اللہ تعالیٰ کا شکرو احسان ہے۔
