Ayah Study

And whosoever does not believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), then verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers a blazing Fire.<sup foot_note=154921>1</sup>

Now as for those who will not believe in God and His Apostle – verily, We have readied a blazing flame for all [such] deniers of the truth!

اور جو شخص خدا پر اور اس کے پیغمبر پر ایمان نہ لائے تو ہم نے (ایسے) کافروں کے لئے آگ تیار کر رکھی ہے

الثاني: ضعف إيمانهم ويقينهم بوعد الله، ونصر دينه، وإعلاء كلمته، ولهذا قال: { وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ } أي: فإنه كافر مستحق للعقاب، { فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيرًا }

ومن لم يصدِّق بالله وبما جاء به رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم ويعمل بشرعه، فإنه كافر مستحق للعقاب، فإنا أعددنا للكافرين عذاب السعير في النار.

أي من لم يخلص العمل في الظاهر والباطن لله فإن الله تعالى سيعذبه في السعير وإن أظهر للناس ما يعتقدون خلاف ما هو عليه في نفس الأمر.

The Fabricated Excuse offered by Those Who lagged behind and did not participate in Al-Hudaybiyyah Allah informs His Messenger of the excuses that the bedouins who lagged behind would offer him, those bedouins who preferred to remain in their homes and possessions and did not join the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They offered an excuse for lagging behind, as that of being busy -- in their homes and with their wealth! They asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invoke Allah to forgive them, not because they had faith in the Prophet and his invocation, but to show off and pretend. This is why Allah the Exalted said about them, يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ مَّا لَيْسَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئاً إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرّاً أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعاً (They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if He intends you hurt or intends you benefit") Allah says, none can resist what Allah has decided in your case, all praise and honor belong to Him. Allah is the Knower of your secrets and what your hearts conceal, even if you pretend and choose to be hypocritical with us. This is why Allah the Exalted said, بَلْ كَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيراً (Nay, but Allah is Ever All-Aware of what you do.) then He said, بَلْ ظَنَنْتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَداً (Nay, but you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families,) `for your lagging behind was not an excusable act or just a sin. Rather, your lagging behind was because of hypocrisy and because you thought that the Muslims would be killed to the extent of extermination, their lives would be extinguished and none of them will ever come back,' وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْماً بُوراً (and you did think an evil thought and you became a people Bur) going for destruction, according to `Abdullah bin `Abbas, Mujahid and several others. Qatadah explained Bur to mean, corrupt and some said that it is a word used in the Arabic dialect of the area of Oman. Allah the Exalted then said, وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ (And whosoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger,) Allah states here that whoever does not purify his actions outwardly and inwardly for Allah's sake, then Allah the Exalted will punish him in the Blazing Fire, even if he pretends to show people that he follows the faith, contradicting his true creed. Allah the Exalted then states that He is the Only Authority, King and Owner Who has full control over the residents of the heavens and earth, يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُوراً رَّحِيماً (He forgives whom He wills, and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.) with those who repent, return and submit to Him with humiliation.

مجاہدین کی کامیاب واپسی جو اعراب لوگ جہاد سے جی چرا کر رسول اللہ ﷺ کا ساتھ چھوڑ کر موت کے ڈر کے مارے گھر سے نہ نکلتے تھے اور جانتے تھے کہ کفر کی زبردست طاقت ہمیں چکنا چور کر دے گی اور جو اتنی بڑی جماعت سے ٹکر لینے گئے ہیں یہ تباہ ہوجائیں گے بال بچوں کو ترس جائیں گے اور وہیں کاٹ ڈالے جائیں گے جب انہوں نے دیکھا کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ مع اپنے پاکباز مجاہدین کی جماعت کے ہنسی خوشی واپس آرہے ہیں تو اپنے دل میں مسودے گانٹھنے لگے کہ اپنی مشیخت بنی رہے یہاں اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی کو پہلے ہی سے خبردار کردیا کہ یہ بد باطن لوگ آکر اپنے ضمیر کے خلاف اپنی زبان کو حرکت دیں گے اور عذر پیش کریں گے کہ حضور بال بچوں اور کام کاج کی وجہ سے نکل نہ سکے ورنہ ہم تو ہر طرح تابع فرمان ہیں ہماری جان تک حاضر ہے اپنی مزید ایمان داری کے اظہار کے لئے یہ بھی کہہ دیں گے کہ حضرت آپ ہمارے لئے استغفار کیجئے۔ تو آپ انہیں جواب دے دینا کہ تمہارا معاملہ سپرد اللہ ہے وہ دلوں کے بھید سے واقف ہے اگر وہ تمہیں نقصان پہنچائے تو کون ہے جو اسے دفع کرسکے ؟ اور اگر وہ تمہیں نفع دینا چاہے تو کون ہے جو اسے روک سکے ؟ تصنع اور بناوٹ سے تمہاری ایمانداری اور نفاق سے وہ بخوبی آگاہ ہے ایک ایک عمل سے وہ باخبر ہے اس پر کوئی چیز مخفی نہیں دراصل تمہارا پیچھے رہ جانا کسی عذر کے باعث نہ تھا بلکہ بطور نافرمانی کے ہی تھا۔ صاف طور پر تمہارا نفاق اس کے باعث تھا تمہارے دل ایمان سے خالی ہیں اللہ پر بھروسہ نہیں رسول ﷺ کی اطاعت میں بھلائی کا یقین نہیں اس وجہ سے تمہاری جانیں تم پر گراں ہیں تم اپنی نسبت تو کیا بلکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اور صحابہ رسول ﷺ کی نسبت بھی یہی خیال کرتے تھے کہ یہ قتل کر دئیے جائیں گے ان کی بھوسی اڑا دی جائے گی ان میں سے ایک بھی نہ بچ سکے گا جو ان کی خبر تو لا کر دے، ان بدخیالیوں نے تمہیں نامرد بنا رکھا تھا تم دراصل برباد شدہ لوگ ہو کہا گیا ہے کہ (بورا) لغت عمان ہے جو شخص اپنا عمل خالص نہ کرے اپنا عقیدہ مضبوط نہ بنا لے اسے اللہ تعالیٰ دوزخ کی آگ میں عذاب کرے گا گو دنیا میں وہ بہ خلاف اپنے باطن کے ظاہر کرتے رہے پھر اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ اپنے ملک اپنی شہنشاہی اور اپنے اختیارات کا بیان فرماتا ہے کہ مالک و متصرف وہی ہے بخشش اور عذاب پر قادر وہ ہے لیکن ہے غفور اور رحیم جو بھی اس کی طرف جھکے وہ اس کی طرف مائل ہوجاتا ہے اور جو اس کا در کھٹکٹھائے وہ اس کے لئے اپنا دروازہ کھول دیتا ہے خواہ کتنے ہی گناہ کئے ہوں جب توبہ کرے اللہ قبول فرما لیتا ہے اور گناہ بخش دیتا ہے بلکہ رحم اور مہربانی سے پیش آتا ہے۔
