Ayah Study

And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth but it is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz).

Indeed, we were promised this – we and our forefathers – in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!

اور آسمانوں اور زمین میں کوئی پوشیدہ چیز نہیں ہے مگر (وہ) کتاب روشن میں (لکھی ہوئی) ہے

{ وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ } أي: خفية وسر من أسرار العالم العلوي والسفلي { إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ } قد أحاط ذلك الكتاب بجميع ما كان ويكون إلى أن تقوم الساعة، فكل حادث يحدث جلي أو خفي إلا وهو مطابق لما كتب في اللوح المحفوظ.

وما مِن شيء غائب عن أبصار الخلق في السماء والأرض إلا في كتاب واضح عند الله. قد أحاط ذلك الكتاب بجميع ما كان وما يكون.

فقال تعالى "وما من غائبة" قال ابن عباس يعني وما من شي "في السماء والأرض إلا في كتاب مبين" وهذه كقوله "ألم تعلم أن الله يعلم ما في السماء والأرض إن ذلك في كتاب إن ذلك على الله يسير".

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَـذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـدِقِينَ (And they say: "When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful") Allah said, responding to them: قُلْ (Say) `O Muhammad,' عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعْضُ الَّذِى تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ (Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you.) Ibn `Abbas said, "That which you wish to hasten on has come close to you, or some of it has come close." This was also the view of Mujahid, Ad-Dahhak, `Ata Al-Khurasani, Qatadah and As-Suddi. This is also what is meant in the Ayat: وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هُوَ قُلْ عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا (And they say: "When will that be" Say: "Perhaps it is near!") (17:51) يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَـفِرِينَ (They ask you to hasten on the torment. And verily, Hell, of a surety, will encompass the disbelievers) (29:54). عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم (may be close behind you.) means, it is being hastened for you. This was reported from Mujahid. Then Allah says: وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ (Verily, your Lord is full of grace for mankind,) meaning, He abundantly bestows His blessings on them even though they wrong themselves, yet despite that they do not give thanks for those blessings, except for a few of them. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ (And verily, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they reveal.) means, He knows what is hidden in their hearts just as He knows what is easily visible. سَوَآءٌ مِّنْكُمْ مَّنْ أَسَرَّ الْقَوْلَ وَمَنْ جَهَرَ بِهِ (It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceals his speech or declares it openly) (13:10), يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى (He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden) (20: 7), أَلا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ (Surely, even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal) (11:5). Then Allah tells us that He is the Knower of the unseen in the heavens and on earth, and that He is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, i.e., that which is unseen by His servants and that which they can see. And Allah says: وَمَا مِنْ غَآئِبَةٍ (and there is nothing hidden) Ibn `Abbas said, "This means, there is nothing فِى السَّمَآءِ وَالاٌّرْضِ إِلاَّ فِى كِتَـبٍ مُّبِينٍ (in the heaven and the earth but it is in a Clear Book.) This is like the Ayah, أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى السَّمَآءِ وَالاٌّرْضِ إِنَّ ذلِكَ فِى كِتَـبٍ إِنَّ ذلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ (Know you not that Allah knows all that is in the heaven and on the earth Verily, it is (all) in the Book. Verily, that is easy for Allah.) (22:70)

قیامت کے منکر مشرک چونکہ قیامت کے آنے کے قائل ہی نہیں۔ جرات سے اسے جلدی طلب کرتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ اگر سچے ہو تو بتاؤ وہ کب آئے گی۔ جناب باری کی طرف سے بواسطہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جواب مل رہا ہے کہ ممکن ہے وہ بالکل ہی قریب آگئی ہو۔ جیسے اور آیت میں ہے (عَسٰٓي اَنْ يَّكُوْنَ قَرِيْبًا 51؀) 17۔ الإسراء :51) اور جگہ ہے یہ عذابوں کو جلدی طلب کررہے ہیں اور جہنم تو کافروں کو گھیرے ہوئے ہیں۔ لکم کا لام ردف کے عجل کے معنی کو متضمن ہونے کی وجہ سے ہے۔ جیسے کہ حضرت مجاہد سے مروی ہے پھر فرمایا کہ اللہ کے تو انسانوں پر بہت ہی فضل وکرم ہیں۔ ان کی بیشمار نعمتیں ان کے پاس ہیں تاہم ان میں کے اکثر ناشکرے ہیں۔ جس طرح تمام ظاہر امور اس پر آشکارا ہیں اسی طرح تمام باطنی امور بھی اس پر ظاہر ہیں۔ جیسے فرمایا (سَوَاۗءٌ مِّنْكُمْ مَّنْ اَسَرَّ الْقَوْلَ وَمَنْ جَهَرَ بِهٖ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍۢ بِالَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِالنَّهَارِ 10) 13۔ الرعد :10) ، اور آیت میں ہے (يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَاَخْفٰي) 20۔ طه :7) اور آیت میں ہے (اَلَا حِيْنَ يَسْتَغْشُوْنَ ثِيَابَھُمْ ۙ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّوْنَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُوْنَ ۚ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِذَات الصُّدُوْرِ) 11۔ ھود :5) مطلب یہی ہے کہ ہر ظاہر وباطن کا وہ عالم ہے۔ پھر بیان فرماتا ہے کہ ہر غائب حاضر کا اسے علم ہے وہ علام الغیوب ہے۔ آسمان و زمین کی تمام چیزیں خواہ تم کو ان کا علم ہو یا نہ ہو اللہ کے ہاں کھلی کتاب میں لکھی ہوئی ہیں۔ جیسے فرمان ہے کہ کیا تو نہیں جانتا کہ آسمان و زمین کی ہر ایک چیز کا اللہ عالم ہے۔ سب کچھ کتاب میں موجود ہے اللہ پر سب کچھ آسان ہے۔
