Ayah Study

And to Allâh belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and to Allâh is the return (of all).

ART THOU NOT aware that it is God whose limitless glory all [creatures] that are in the heavens and on earth extol, even the birds as they spread out their wings? Each [of them] knows indeed how to pray unto Him and to glorify Him; and God has full knowledge of all that they do:

اور آسمان اور زمین کی بادشاہی خدا کے لئے ہے۔ اور خدا ہی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے

فلما بين عبوديتهم وافتقارهم إليه -من جهة العبادة والتوحيد- بين افتقارهم، من جهة الملك والتربية والتدبير فقال: { وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ } خالقهما ورازقهما، والمتصرف فيهما، في حكمه الشرعي [والقدري] في هذه الدار، وفي حكمه الجزائي، بدار القرار، بدليل قوله: { وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ } أي: مرجع الخلق ومآلهم، ليجازيهم بأعمالهم.

ولله وحده ملك السموات والأرض، له السلطان فيهما، وإليه المرجع يوم القيامة.

"وإلى الله المصير" أي يوم القيامة فيحكم فيه بما يشاء "ليجزي الذين أساءوا بما عملوا" الآية فهو الخالق المالك الإله الحكم في الدنيا والأخري وله الحمد في الأولى والآخرة.

Everything glorifies Allah, may He be exalted, and to Him belongs the Sovereignty Allah tells us that whosoever is in the heavens and on the earth, i.e., the angels, mankind, Jinn, animals and even inanimate objects, all glorify Him. This is like the Ayah: تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَـوَتُ السَّبْعُ وَالاٌّرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ (The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein, glorify Him) 17:44, وَالطَّيْرُ صَآفَّـتٍ (and the birds with wings outspread) means, while they are flying they glorify their Lord and worship Him with the glorification with which they are inspired and to which they are guided. Allah knows what they are doing, and so He says: كُلٌّ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلاَتَهُ وَتَسْبِيحَهُ (Of each one He knows indeed his Salah and his glorification;) meaning, He has guided every creature to its own way of worshipping Allah, may He be glorified. Then Allah tells us that He knows all of that and nothing at all is hidden from Him. He says: وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ (and Allah is All-Aware of what they do.) Then Allah tells us that to Him belongs the sovereignty of heaven and earth, and that He is the Ruler and Controller, the God Who is worshipped and besides Whom none other is to be worshipped, and there is none to put back His judgement. وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ (and to Allah is the return) means, on the Day of Resurrection, when He will judge as He wills, لِيَجْزِىَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُواْ بِمَا عَمِلُواْ (that He may requite those who do evil with that which they have done...) 53:31 He is the Creator and Sovereign, and His is indeed the Authority in this world and the next. To Him be praise at the beginning and in the end.

ہر ایک تسبیح خوان ہے کل کے کل انسان، جنات، فرشتے اور حیوان یہاں تک کہ جمادات بھی اللہ کی تسبیح کے بیان میں مشغول ہیں۔ ایک اور جگہ ہے کہ ساتوں آسمان اور سب زمینیں اور ان میں جو ہیں سب اللہ کی پاکیزگی کی بیان میں مشغول ہیں۔ اپنے پروں سے اڑنے والے پرند بھی اپنے رب کی عبادت اور پاکیزگی کے بیان میں مشغول ہیں۔ ان سب کو جو جو تسبیح لائق تھی اللہ نے انہیں سکھا دی ہے، سب کو اپنی عبادت کے مختلف جداگانہ طریقے سکھا دئے ہیں اور اللہ پر کوئی کام مخفی نہیں، وہ عالم کل ہے۔ حاکم، متصرف، مالک، مختار کل، معبود حقیقی، آسمان و زمین کا بادشاہ صرف وہی ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں، اس کے حکموں کو کوئی ٹالنے والا نہیں۔ قیامت کے دن سب کو اسی کے سامنے حاضر ہونا ہے، وہ جو چاہے گا اپنی مخلوقات میں حکم فرمائے گا۔ برے لوگ برا بدلہ پائیں گے۔ نیک نیکیوں کا پھل حاصل کریں گے۔ خالق مالک وہی ہے، دنیا اور آخرت کا حاکم حقیقی وہی ہے اور اسی کی ذات لائق حمد وثنا ہے۔
