Ayah Study

Allâh forbids you from it and warns you not to repeat the like of it forever, if you are believers.

for God makes [His] messages clear unto you – and God is all-knowing, wise!

خدا تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے کہ اگر مومن ہو تو پھر کبھی ایسا کام نہ کرنا

{ يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ } أي: لنظيره، من رمي المؤمنين بالفجور، فالله يعظكم وينصحكم عن ذلك، ونعم المواعظ والنصائح من ربنا فيجب علينا مقابلتها بالقبول والإذعان، والتسليم والشكر له، على ما بين لنا { إِنَّ اللَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ } { إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ } دل ذلك على أن الإيمان الصادق، يمنع صاحبه من الإقدام على المحرمات.

يذكِّركم الله وينهاكم أن تعودوا أبدًا لمثل هذا الفعل من الاتهام الكاذب، إن كنتم مؤمنين به.

ثم قال تعالى "يعظكم الله أن تعودوا لمثله أبدأ" أي ينهاكم الله متوعدا أن يقع منكم ما يشبه هذا أبدا أي فيما يستقبل ولهذا قال "إن كنتم مؤمنين" أي إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله وشرعه وتعظمون رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم فأما من كان متصفا بالكفر فله حكم آخر.

Further Discipline This is further discipline, in addition to the command to think well of people, i.e., if something unbefitting is mentioned about good people, then one should think well of them, and not feel towards them anything but good. Then if a person has any unsuitable thoughts about them, insinuated into his mind and imagination by Shaytan, he should not speak about that, for the Prophet said: «إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسُهَا مَا لَمْ تَقُلْ أَوْ تَعْمَلْ» (Allah will excuse my Ummah for anything that occurs to their minds, so long as they do not speak about it or act upon it.) This was reported in the Two Sahihs. Allah's saying: وَلَوْلا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُمْ مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَـذَا (And why did you not, when you heard it, say: "It is not right for us to speak of this".) meaning, we should not talk about it or mention it to anyone. سُبْحَـنَكَ هَـذَا بُهْتَـنٌ عَظِيمٌ (Glory be to You (O Allah)! This is a great lie.) means, glory be to Allah that such a thing should be said about the wife of His Prophet and close Friend . Then Allah says, يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُواْ لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَداً (Allah forbids you from it and warns you not to repeat the like of it forever, ) meaning, Allah is forbidding you and warning you from doing anything like this again in the future. Allah says, إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ (if you are believers.) meaning, if you believe in Allah and His Laws, and you respect His Messenger . As for those who are described as disbelievers, a different ruling applies in their case. Then Allah says, وَيُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الاٌّيَـتِ (And Allah makes the Ayat plain to you,) meaning, He makes clear to you the rulings of Shari`ah and His divine decrees. وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ (and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.) means, He knows what is right for His servants and He is Wise in His Laws and decrees.

پہلے تحقیق کرو پھر بولو پہلے تو نیک گمانی کا حکم دیا۔ یہاں دوسرا حکم دے رہا ہے کہ بھلے لوگوں کی شان میں کوئی برائی کا کلمہ بغیر تحقیق ہرگز نہ نلکالنا چاہئے۔ برے خیالات، گندے الزامات اور شیطانی وسوسوں سے دور رہنا چاہئے۔ کبھی ایسے کلمات زبان سے نہ نکالنے چاہیں، گو دل میں کوئی ایساوسوسہ شیطانی پیدا بھی ہو تو زبان قابو میں رکھنی چاہئے۔ حضور ﷺ کا فرمان ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے میری امت کے دلوں میں پیدا ہونے والے وسوسوں سے درگزر فرمالیا ہے، جب تک وہ زبان سے نہ کہیں یا عمل میں نہ لائیں (بخاری ومسلم) تمہیں چاہئے تھا کہ ایسے بےہودہ کلام کو سنتے ہی کہہ دیتے کہ ہم ایسی لغویات سے اپنی زبان نہیں بگاڑتے۔ ہم سے یہ بےادبی نہیں ہوسکتی کہ اللہ کے خلیل اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی بیوی صاحبہ کی نسبت کوئی ایسی لغویات کہیں، اللہ کی ذات پاک ہے۔ دیکھو خبردار آئندہ کبھی ایسی حرکت نہ ہو ورنہ ایمان کے ضبط ہونے کا اندیشہ ہے۔ ہاں اگر کوئی شخص ایمان سے ہی کو را ہو تو وہ تو بےادب، گستاخ اور بھلے لوگوں کی اہانت کرنے والا ہوتا ہی ہے۔ احکام شرعیہ کو اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے سامنے کھول کھول کر بیان فرما رہا ہے۔ وہ اپنے بندوں کی مصلحتوں سے واقف ہے۔ اس کا کوئی حکم حکمت سے خالی نہیں ہوتا۔
