Ayah Study

"All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, Who has given me in old age Ismâ‘îl (Ishmael) and Ishâq (Isaac). Verily! My Lord is indeed the All-Hearer of invocations.

and has made the sun and the moon, both of them constant upon their courses, subservient [to His laws, so that they be of use] to you; and has made the night and the day subservient [to His laws, so that they be of use] to you.

خدا کا شکر ہے جس نے مجھ کو بڑی عمر میں اسماعیل اور اسحاق بخشے۔ بےشک میرا پروردگار سننے والا ہے

فهبتهم من أكبر النعم، وكونهم على الكبر في حال الإياس من الأولاد نعمة أخرى، وكونهم أنبياء صالحين أجل وأفضل، { إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ } أي: لقريب الإجابة ممن دعاه وقد دعوته فلم يخيب رجائي، ثم دعا لنفسه ولذريته، فقال: { رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ * رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحساب }فاستجاب الله له في ذلك كله إلا أن دعاءه لأبيه إنما كان عن موعدة وعده إياه، فلما تبين له أنه عدو لله تبرأ منه.

يُثْني إبراهيم على الله تعالى، فيقول: الحمد لله الذي رزقني على كِبَر سني ولديَّ إسماعيل وإسحاق بعد دعائي أن يهب لي من الصالحين، إن ربي لسميع الدعاء ممن دعاه، وقد دعوته ولم يخيِّب رجائي.

ثم حمد ربه عز وجل على ما رزقه من الولد بعد الكبر فقال " الحمد لله الذي وهب لي على الكبر إسماعيل وإسحاق إن ربي لسميع الدعاء " أي أنه يستجيب لمن دعاه وقد استجاب لي فيما سألته من الولد.

رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ (O our Lord! Certainly, You know what we conceal and what we reveal.) meaning, `You know the intention behind my supplication for the people of this town, seeking Your pleasure in sincerity to You. You know all things, apparent and hidden, and nothing escapes Your knowledge on the earth or in heaven."' He next praised and thanked his Lord the Exalted and Most Honored for granting him offspring after he became old, الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ الَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى الْكِبَرِ إِسْمَـعِيلَ وَإِسْحَـقَ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَآءِ (All praise is due to Allah, Who has given me in old age Isma'il (Ishmael) and Ishaq (Isaac). Verily, my Lord is indeed the All-Hearer of invocations.) `He accepts the supplication of those who invoke Him, and has accepted my invocation when I asked Him to grant me offspring. ' Ibrahim said next, رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِى مُقِيمَ الصَّلوةِ (O my Lord! Make me one who performs Salah,), preserving its obligations and limits, وَمِن ذُرِّيَتِى (and (also) from my offspring,), make them among those who establish the prayer, as well, رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ (our Lord! And accept my invocation.), all of my invocation which I invoked You with herein, رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَالِدَىَّ (Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents,) Ibrahim said this before he declared himself innocent from his father, after he became sure that he was an enemy of Allah, وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (and the believers), all of them, يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ (on the Day when the reckoning will be established.) on the Day when You will reckon Your servants and recompense or reward them for their deeds - good for good and evil for evil.

مناجات خلیل الرحمن ﷺ اپنی مناجات میں فرماتے ہیں کہ اے اللہ تو میرے ارادے اور میرے مقصود کو مجھ سے زیادہ جانتا ہے میری چاہت ہے کہ یہاں کے رہنے والے تیری رضا کے طالب اور فقط تیری طرف راغب رہیں۔ ظاہر و باطن تجھ پر روشن ہے زمین و آسمان کی ہر چیز کا حل تجھ پر کھلا ہے۔ تیرا احسان ہے کہ اس پورے بڑھاپے میں تو نے میرے ہاں اولاد عطا فرمائی اور ایک پر ایک بچہ دیا۔ اسماعیل بھی، اسحاق بھی۔ تو دعاؤں کا سننے والا اور قبول کرنے والا ہے میں نے مانگا تو نے دیا پس تیرا شکر ہے۔ اے اللہ مجھے نمازوں کا پابند بنا اور میری اولاد میں بھی یہ سلسلہ قائم رکھ۔ میری تمام دعائیں قبول فرما۔ ولوادی کی قرأت بعض نے والوالدی بھی کی ہے یہ بھی یاد رہے کہ یہ دعا اس سے پھلے کی ہے کہ آپ کو اللہ کی طرف سے معلوم ہوجائے کہ آپ کا والد اللہ کی دشمنی پر ہی مرا ہے۔ جب یہ ظاہر ہوگیا تو آپ اپنے والد سے بیزار ہوگئے۔ پس یہاں آپ اپنے ماں باپ کی اور تمام مومنوں کی خطاؤں کی معافی اللہ سے چاہتے ہیں کہ اعمال کے حساب اور بدلے کے دن قصور معاف ہوں۔
