Full Sharh — Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 563
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ الأَنْصَارَ قَالَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: اقْسِمْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ إِخْوَانِنَا النَّخِيلَ، قَالَ: لاَ، فَقَالُوا: تَكْفُونَا الْمَؤُونَةَ، وَنُشْرِكُكُمْ فِي الثَّمَرَةِ؟ قَالُوا: سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا.
English Translation
Abu Hurayra reported that the Ansar said to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "Divide the palm trees between us and our brothers." "No," he replied. He said, "Spare us the trouble of their upkeep and we will let you share in the fruit." They replied, "We hear and obey."
