Full Sharh — Bulugh al-Maram 1208
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -رَأَى عَلَى عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَثَرَ صُفْرَةٍ , قَالَ : " مَا هَذَا ? " , قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ! إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ اِمْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ. فَقَالَ : " فَبَارَكَ اَللَّهُ لَكَ , أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ , وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُسْلِمٍ 1 .1 - صحيح . رواه البخاري ( 5155 ) ، ومسلم ( 1427 ) . ولا معنى لقول الحافظ : "واللفظ لمسلم" إذ هو نفس لفظ البخاري.
English Translation
Narrated Anas bin Malik (RA):: The Prophet (ﷺ) saw the trace of yellow color on 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf (RA) and asked, "What is this?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I have married a woman for a Nawat weight (equal to one weight of a date-stone) of gold." He said. "May Allah bless you! Hold a wedding feast, even if with a sheep (only)." .
