Ayah Study

And (remember) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a troop of those who denied Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and (then) they (all) shall be driven (to the place of reckoning),

BEHOLD, this Qur’ān explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views;

اور جس روز ہم ہر اُمت میں سے اس گروہ کو جمع کریں گے جو ہماری آیتوں کی تکذیب کرتے تھے تو اُن کی جماعت بندی کی جائے گی

يخبر تعالى عن حالة المكذبين في موقف القيامة وأن الله يجمعهم، ويحشر من كل أمة من الأمم فوجا وطائفة { مِمَّنْ يُكَذِّبُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ } يجمع أولهم على آخرهم وآخرهم على أولهم ليعمهم السؤال والتوبيخ واللوم.

ويوم نجمع يوم الحشر من كل أمة جماعة، ممن يكذب بأدلتنا وحججنا، يُحْبَس أولهم على آخرهم؛ ليجتمعوا كلهم، ثم يساقون إلى الحساب.

يقول تعالى مخبرا عن يوم القيامة وحشر الظالمين من المكذبين بآيات الله ورسله إلى بين يدي الله عز وجل ليسألهم عما فعلوه في الدار الدنيا تقريعا وتوبيخا وتصغيرا وتحقيرا فقال تعالى "ويوم نحشر من كل أمة فوجا" أي من كل قوم وقرن فوجا أي جماعة "ممن يكذب بآياتنا" كما قال تعالى "احشروا الذين ظلموا وأزواجهم" وقال تعالى "وإذا النفوس زوجت" وقوله تعالى "فهم يوزعون" قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهم: يدفعون وقال قتادة وزعه ترد أولهم على آخرهم وقال عبد الرحمن بن زيد بن أسلم يساقون.

Gathering the Wrongdoers on the Day of Resurrection Allah tells us about the Day of Resurrection when the wrongdoers who disbelieved in the signs and Messengers of Allah will be gathered before Allah, so that He will ask them about what they did in this world, rebuking, scolding and belittling them. وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوْجاً (And the Day when We shall gather out of every nation, a Fawj) means, from every people and generation a group مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِـَايَـتِنَا (of those who denied Our Ayat). This is like the Ayat: احْشُرُواْ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزْوَجَهُمْ ("Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils).") (37:22) وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ (And when the souls are joined with their bodies) (81:7). فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ (and they shall be driven,) Ibn `Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "They will be pushed." `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said: "They will be driven." حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءُوا (Till, when they come,) and stand before Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, in the place of reckoning, قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِـَايَـتِى وَلَمْ تُحِيطُواْ بِهَا عِلْماًكُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (He will say: "Did you deny My Ayat whereas you comprehended them not by knowledge, or what was it that you used to do") meaning they will be asked about their beliefs and their deeds. Since they are among the doomed and, as Allah says: فَلاَ صَدَّقَ وَلاَ صَلَّى - وَلَـكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى (He neither believed nor performed Salah! But on the contrary, he denied and turned away!) (75:31-32) Then the proof will be established against them and they will have no excuse whatsoever, as Allah says: هَـذَا يَوْمُ لاَ يَنطِقُونَ - وَلاَ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ (That will be a Day when they shall not speak. And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse) (77:35-36). Similarly, Allah says here: وَوَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُواْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَنطِقُونَ (And the Word will be fulfilled against them, because they have done wrong, and they will be unable to speak.) They will be stunned and speechless, unable to give any answer. This is because they wronged themselves in the world, and now they have returned to the One Who sees the unseen and the seen, from Whom nothing can be hidden. Then Allah points out His complete power, immense authority and greatness, all dictating that He is to be obeyed and that His commands must be followed, and that the message of inescapable truth brought by His Prophets must be believed in. Allah says: أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُواْ فِيهِ (See they not that We have made the night for them to rest therein,) Due to the darkness of the night they halt their activities and calm themselves down, to recover from the exhausting efforts of the day. وَالنَّهَـارَ مُبْصِـراً (and the day sight-giving) meaning filled with light, so that they can work and earn a living, and travel and engage in business, and do other things that they need to do. إِنَّ فِى ذلِكَ لآيَـتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (Verily, in this are Ayat for the people who believe.)

باز پرس کے لمحات اللہ کی باتوں کو نہ ماننے والوں کا اللہ کے سامنے حشر ہوگا اور وہاں انہیں ڈانٹ ڈپٹ ہوگی تاکہ ان کی ذلت و حقارت ہو۔ ہر قوم میں سے ہر زمانے کے ایسے لوگوں کے گروہ الگ الگ پیش ہونگے جیسے فرمان ہے آیت (اُحْشُرُوا الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا وَاَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوْا يَعْبُدُوْنَ 22؀ۙ) 37۔ الصافات :22) ظالموں کو اور ان کے جوڑوں کو جمع کرو۔ اور جیسے فرمان ہے آیت (وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْ ۽) 81۔ التکوير :7) جب کہ نفسوں کی جوڑیاں ملائی جائیں گی۔ یہ سب ایک دوسرے کو دھکے دیں گے اور اول والے آخر والوں کو رد کریں گے۔ پھر سب کے سب جانوروں کی طرح ہنکا کر اللہ کے سامنے لائیں جائیں گے۔ ان کے حاضر ہوتے ہی وہ منتقم حقیقی نہایت غصہ سے ان سے باز پرس کرے گا۔ یہ نیکیوں سے خالی ہاتھ ہونگے جیسے فرمایا آیت (فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلّٰى 31 ؀ۙ) 75۔ القیامة :31) یعنی نہ انہوں نے سچائی کی تھی نہ نمازیں پڑھی تھیں بلکہ جھٹلایا تھا اور منہ موڑا تھا۔ پس ان پر حجت ثابت ہوجائے گی اور کوئی عذر نہ کرسکیں گے۔ جیسے فرمان ہے آیت (هٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَ 35؀ۙ) 77۔ المرسلات :35) یہ وہ دن ہے کہ بول نہ سکیں گے اور نہ کوئی معقول عذر پیش کرسکیں گے اور نہ غیر معقول معذرت کی اجازت پائیں گے۔ پس ان کے ذمہ بات ثابت ہوجائے گی۔ ششدرو حیران رہ جائیں گے اپنے ظلم کا بدلہ خوب پائیں گے۔ دنیا میں ظالم تھے اب جس کے سامنے کھٹے ہونگے وہ عالم الغیب ہے کوئی بات بنائے نہ بنے گی۔ پھر اپنی قدرت کاملہ کا بیان فرماتا ہے اور اپنی بلندی شان بتاتا ہے اور اپنی عظیم الشان سلطنت دکھاتا ہے جو کھلی دلیل ہے،۔ اس کی اطاعت کی فرضیت پر اور اس کے حکموں کے بجالانے اور اسکے منع کردہ کاموں سے رکے رہنے کی ضروت پر۔ اور اس کے نبیوں کو سچا ماننے کی اصلیت پر۔ کہ اس نے رات کو پرسکون بنایا تاکہ تم اس میں آرام حاصل کرلو اور دن بھر کی تھکان دور کرلو اور دن کو روشن بنایا تاکہ تم اپنی معاش کی تلاش کرلو سفر تجارت کاروبار باآسانی کرسکو۔ یہ تمام چیزیں ایک مومن کے لیے تو کافی سے زیادہ دلیل ہیں۔
