Ayah Study

(To) those whose eyes had been under a covering from My Reminder (this Qur’ân), and who could not bear to hear (it).

And thus [the rampart was built, and] their enemies were unable to scale it, and neither were they able to pierce it.

جن کی آنکھیں میری یاد سے پردے میں تھیں اور وہ سننے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے تھے

كما قال تعالى: { وبرزت الجحيم للغاوين ْ} أي: عرضت لهم لتكون مأواهم ومنزلهم، وليتمتعوا بأغلالها وسعيرها، وحميمها، وزمهريرها، وليذوقوا من العقاب، ما تبكم له القلوب، وتصم الآذان، وهذا آثار أعمالهم، وجزاء أفعالهم، فإنهم في الدنيا .

الذين كانت أعينهم في الدنيا في غطاء عن ذكري فلا تبصر آياتي، وكانوا لا يطيقون سماع حججي الموصلة إلى الإيمان بي وبرسولي.

" الذين كانت أعينهم في غطاء عن ذكري " أي تغافلوا وتعاموا وتصامموا عن قبول الهدى واتباع الحق كما قال: " ومن يعش عن ذكر الرحمن نقيض له شيطانًا فهو له قرين " وقال هنا " وكانوا لا يستطيعون سمعًا " أي لا يعقلون عن الله أمره ونهيه.

Hell will be displayed before the Disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection Allah tells us what He will do to the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection. He will show Hell to them, meaning He will bring it forth for them to see its punishment and torment before they enter it. This will intensify their distress and grief. In Sahih Muslim it is recorded that Ibn Mas`ud said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, «يُؤْتَى بِجَهَنَّمَ تُقَادُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِسَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ زِمَامٍ، مَعَ كُلِّ زِمَامٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَك» (Hell will be brought forth on the Day of Resurrection, pulled by means of seventy thousand reins, each of which will be held by seventy thousand angels.) Then Allah says of them: الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى ((To) those whose eyes had been under a covering from My Reminder,) meaning, they neglected it, turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to it, refusing to accept guidance and follow the truth. As Allah says: وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَـنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَاناً فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ (And whosoever turns away blindly from the remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint for him a Shaytan to be a companion for him.) 43:36 And here Allah says: وَكَانُواْ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعاً (and they could not bear to hear (it). ) meaning, they did not understand the commands and prohibitions of Allah. Then He says: أَفَحَسِبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَن يَتَّخِذُواْ عِبَادِى مِن دُونِى أَوْلِيَآءَ (Do then those who disbelieved think that they can take My servants as Awliya' protectors besides Me) meaning, do they think that this is right for them and that it is going to benefit them كَلاَّ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَـدَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدّاً (Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them) 19:82. Allah says that He has prepared Hell as their abode on the Day of Resurrection.

جہنم کو دیکھ کر۔کافر جہنم میں جانے سے پہلے جہنم کو اور اس کے عذاب کو دیکھ لیں گے اور یہ یقین کر کے کہ وہ اسی میں داخل ہونے والے ہیں داخل ہونے سے پہلے ہی جلنے کڑھنے لگیں گے غم ورنج ڈر خوف کے مارے گھلنے لگیں گے۔ صحیح مسلم شریف کی حدیث میں ہے کہ جہنم کو قیامت کے دن گھسیٹ کر لایا جائے گا جس کی ستر ہزار لگامیں ہونگی ہر ایک لگام پر ستر ستر ہزار فرشتے ہوں گے۔ یہ کافر دنیا کی ساری زندگی میں اپنی آنکھوں اور کانوں کے بیکار کئے بیٹھے رہے، نہ حق دیکھا، نہ حق سنا نہ مانا نہ عمل کیا۔ شیطان کا ساتھ دیا اور رحمان کے ذکر سے غفلت برتی۔ اللہ کے احکام اور ممانعت کو پس پشت ڈالے رہے۔ یہی سمجھتے رہے کہ ان کے جھوٹے معبود ہی انہیں سارے نفع پہنچائیں گے اور کل سختیاں دور کریں گے۔ محض غلظ خیال ہے بلکہ وہ تو ان کی عبادت کے بھی منکر ہوجائیں گے اور ان کے دشمن بن کر کھڑے ہوں گے۔ ان کافروں کی منزل تو جہنم ہی ہے جو ابھی سے تیار ہے۔
