Al-Ghaashiyaسُورَةُ الغَاشِيَةِ
The Overwhelming • 26 Ayahs • Meccan
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

بھلا تم کو ڈھانپ لینے والی (یعنی قیامت کا) حال معلوم ہوا ہے
The Noble Quran
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?

اس روز بہت سے منہ (والے) ذلیل ہوں گے
The Noble Quran
Some faces, that Day will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians).<sup foot_note=155043>1</sup>

سخت محنت کرنے والے تھکے ماندے
The Noble Quran
Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allâh), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace).<sup foot_note=155044>1</sup>

دہکتی آگ میں داخل ہوں گے
The Noble Quran
They will enter in the hot blazing Fire.

ایک کھولتے ہوئے چشمے کا ان کو پانی پلایا جائے گا
The Noble Quran
They will be given to drink from a boiling spring,

اور خار دار جھاڑ کے سوا ان کے لیے کوئی کھانا نہیں (ہو گا)
The Noble Quran
No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant,

جو نہ فربہی لائے اور نہ بھوک میں کچھ کام آئے
The Noble Quran
Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger.

اور بہت سے منہ (والے) اس روز شادماں ہوں گے
The Noble Quran
(Other) faces that Day will be joyful,

اپنے اعمال (کی جزا )سے خوش دل
The Noble Quran
Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism).<sup foot_note=155045>1</sup>

بہشت بریں میں
The Noble Quran
In a lofty Paradise.
Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari
وہاں کسی طرح کی بکواس نہیں سنیں گے
The Noble Quran
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood.

اس میں چشمے بہ رہے ہوں گے
The Noble Quran
Therein will be a running spring.

وہاں تخت ہوں گے اونچے بچھے ہوئے
The Noble Quran
Therein will be thrones raised high.

اور آبخورے (قرینے سے) رکھے ہوئے
The Noble Quran
And cups set at hand.

اور گاؤ تکیے قطار کی قطار لگے ہوئے
The Noble Quran
And cushions set in rows.

اور نفیس مسندیں بچھی ہوئی
The Noble Quran
And rich carpets (all) spread out.

یہ لوگ اونٹوں کی طرف نہیں دیکھتے کہ کیسے (عجیب )پیدا کیے گئے ہیں
The Noble Quran
Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?
Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari
اور آسمان کی طرف کہ کیسا بلند کیا گیا ہے
The Noble Quran
And at the heaven, how it is raised?

اور پہاڑوں کی طرف کہ کس طرح کھڑے کیے گئے ہیں
The Noble Quran
And at the mountains, how they are rooted (and fixed firm)?

اور زمین کی طرف کہ کس طرح بچھائی گئی
The Noble Quran
And at the earth, how it is outspread?
Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari
تو تم نصیحت کرتے رہو کہ تم نصیحت کرنے والے ہی ہو
The Noble Quran
So remind them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) - you are only one who reminds.

تم ان پر داروغہ نہیں ہو
The Noble Quran
You are not a dictator over them -
Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari
ہاں جس نے منہ پھیرا اور نہ مانا
The Noble Quran
Save the one who turns away and disbelieves.<sup foot_note=155046>1</sup>
Fatah Muhammad Jalandhari
تو خدا اس کو بڑا عذاب دے گا
The Noble Quran
Then Allâh will punish him with the greatest punishment.

بےشک ان کو ہمارے پاس لوٹ کر آنا ہے
The Noble Quran
Verily, to Us will be their return;
